Samsung Rolls Out First DMB-Enabled DVD Player

Samsung unveiled the first portable DVD player capable of receiving DMB signals, in addition to playback of DVD DiVX, VCD, CD, CD-R, CD-RW, JPEG, MP3, and WMA formats. Equipped with a 7" TFT-LCD screen with a 16:9 aspect ratio, the compact DVD player features battery life of about 4 hours. An included kit allows for in-car viewing and battery recharge; the device can also connect with TVs. Samsung plans to boost the production of the DVD player in line with the terrestrial DMB commercialization schedule.
